Tucked beside the Verandah Family Room in Uncle Bob's century-old settler cottage, the Jacaranda Room takes its name from the jacaranda tree it looks out onto — with the sound of the river drifting in as a constant backdrop. It connects directly to the Verandah Family Room next door, ideal for families wanting children close by, or friends travelling together. The two rooms share a shower down the hall.

The Barn View Family Room — one of the larger rooms in Uncle Bob's century-old settler cottage, looking out over the barn and the working rhythm of the farm. It's the only room in the cottage that's en-suite. Sleeping up to four: King bed that can be split into two twins, plus a full-size bed — flexible for families or friends sharing.

The Family Attic Room — Superior Luxe, the largest room in Uncle Bob's century-old settler cottage, tucked under the eaves with its own living area and fireplace. Views of Mt. Kenya on one side, treetops and farm below on the other. Extra beds available for children. Shares a hallway bathroom with the Room Above the Stairs.

The Room Above the Stairs — perhaps the most unusual room, carved on a platform above the staircase itself. A quiet, tucked-away perch with birdsong in the trees. Suits kids, young adults, couples or solo travellers seeking something intimate. Shares a hallway bathroom with the Superior Luxe Room next door.

Set within Uncle Bob's century-old settler cottage, lovingly restored to keep its original character alive, the Verandah Family Room is one of the retreat's larger rooms. It opens onto the verandah, with views over the main lawns and the river garden. Queen/double bed plus extra bed for children/additional guest. Connects to the Jacaranda Room on the same wing — ideal for families with young children. The two rooms share a shower just down the hall.

The Kitchen Garden Room — tucked into an older corner of the century-old cottage, looking out over the kitchen garden with bougainvillea and seasonal vegetable beds. Quirky, historic layout: shower and bathroom are just off to the side, within the kitchen itself — part of the character of staying somewhere genuinely lived-in.
